Bryan in Hong Kong

Back in Hong Kong with my PADI Open Water Diver scuba certification in hand! (goodbye beach bungalow…) Spending 40 minutes 10 meters underwater is incredibly fun. Definitely going to look into the HK scuba scene. Just put up some pictures from Thailand, it was a great trip.

The overnight train from Chumphon to Bangkok last night was good, even though I arrived there at 5 am in the morning with little to do until my 12:20 flight. However, despite the 7 hours I had to get the airport I managed to cut it a little close by cheaping out and trying to take take the 20 cent train there (which left the main station at 7am) instead of getting a direct taxi. I ended up taking the train, but instead of waiting for the connecting bus, I took a taxi from the end of the line. So… spending 3 extra hours in transit saved about $4 US, oh wow ;) However, when I got back to Hong Kong I didn’t have it in me to take the slow bus back to campus, instead opting for the express train, thus probably wasting every dollar I had saved in Thailand. Everything in HK seems so expensive now. Going to get some rest tonight, as I’ve got to do laundry and repack for Saturday morning. Looking forward to another good trip!
